United Neighborhoods Inc., (UNI) is a not-for-profit Community Development Corporation (CDC) and a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) that serves the City of Hammond.  The designation of CHDO makes the CDC eligible to receive funding and perform a variety of housing developments, such as purchasing distressed properties; rehabilitating them and placing them back on the market, and new construction as well.  The Executive Director meets with neighborhood organizations to inspire them to work towards the "greater good" for their City.
