The Town of Gaston was incorporated in October 4, 1974, and has become one of the fastest growing residential area in southern Lexington County! Already in our community, for the year 1995, new subdivisions totaling in excess of 1000 new homes have been completed.

The Town of Gaston is governed by a Mayor - Council form of government. Public safety is a high priority and is accomplished through a full-time Police Department with some part-time help from some of the Lexington County Sheriff's Deputies.
