The mission of The Office of University Communications at Stevens Institute of Technology is four-fold:

1. To serve as the primary information and media resource on behalf of the Institute when communicating with major stake-holders and with other internal and external audiences, which includes the management of crisis communications and coverage of the responsibilities of Institutional Spokesperson.
2. To enhance the profile of the Institute among major stake-holders, the public and the news media as a means to achieving increased awareness and esteem for the Institute's education and research initiatives.
3. To initiate and pursue major media projects, aimed at both internal and external audiences, communicating the importance of corporate, foundation, alumni and volunteer support to the Institute via the Office of Advancement, the Stevens Alumni Association, and other points of contact.
4. To act as the central administrative office responsible for the overall strategizing, projection and maintenance of the Institute's public image and identity, via web, video, audio, print and other media.
