The Smithfield Community Association is a not for profit organization formed to preserve the historic buildings and properties in the hamlet of Peterboro, in Madison County, New York. Our organization is made up of a small but dedicated group of volunteers from Peterboro and the surrounding area. Some are Peterboro natives who have lived here all their lives, some are recent arrivals to the beautiful hills and valleys of Madison County, others have moved away, but still keep Peterboro in their hearts. We all share a love for the rich history of Peterboro, and believe this history is worth saving. The SCA has no paid positions, we are a 100% volunteer staffed organization, and membership is open to anyone with a desire to help.
