Mission:

The mission of God is to make His glory known through the redemption which came by Jesus Christ. Therefore, the mission of Sardis Baptist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in all nations, by the power of the Holy Spirit, and for the glory of God the Father. Locally and globally, Sardis Baptist seeks to share the gospel with the lost and disciple the saved. The primary means of making disciples in every context is through the local church. So it is the goal of Sardis Baptist to plant churches everywhere God allows us to go.

About Us:

Sardis Baptist Church began in 1882 with a small group of Baptist who had been meeting in each other's homes to worship. The members of these families worked together and built a small one-room log house, the first Sardis Baptist Church. This church was located in Marshall County. In the summer of 1886, a majority of the membership decided to move their worship service to Etowah County.

In 2007, Sardis Baptist Church, celebrated its 125th birthday. Many things have changed over the years, but one thing has not. The people of Sardis Baptist Church desire to glorify the Savior and see Him reign in the hearts of all in Sardis City, the surrounding area, and the world.
