About Us:

Roxbury Farm is a community supported farm.  We grow vegetables, herbs, and grass fed pork, lamb, and beef for over 1100 shareholders representing over 1300 families in four communities--Columbia County, the Capital Region, Westchester County and Manhattan--on 375 acres in Kinderhook, New York.

In 2016, Roxbury Farm CSA is celebrating our 26th as a CSA community. Since 1991, when we started with 30 members in Manhattan, we have strived to produce high quality food at an affordable price. At the same time Roxbury Farm has become recognized across the United States as a farm with innovative practices. Through partnership with other organizations, Roxbury Farm has trained many new farmers, protected land for agriculture in perpetuity, built soil fertility for future generations (since 2000 we have doubled the soil fertility on our farm), and provided many educational materials for beginning and experienced farmers through our website, mentorships, and presentations.

Roxbury Farm CSA was founded on the principle of customers supporting a farm and the farm supporting the customer community. Roxbury Farm CSA members do not purchase vegetables and meat at the market price but their payment supports the operating budget of the farm.   Through the farm/CSA member partnership, the Roxbury Farm CSA donates over $100,000 worth of produce to food pantries and community kitchens in the neighborhoods where CSA members pick up their produce. Roxbury Farm CSA members’ food dollar supports a thriving farm and gives back to the communities where they live.
