Mission
It is the mission of Putnam County Elementary School to work with parents, teachers, and the community to ensure that each child achieves his or her full educational potential.
Beliefs
1. All children can learn, achieve, and succeed.
2. A safe and physically comfortable environment promotes student learning.
3. A student's self-esteem is greatly increased by positive relationships and mutual respect among students, parents, and staff.
4. Teachers, parents, and community share the responsibility for the support of the school's mission.
5. Being involved with students and staff members of different cultures increases respect and understanding.
6. Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional, and intellectual needs.
7. We can and will encourage student achievement and wise decision-making.
8. We can help students realize their greatest potential by setting high academic and social expectations.
9. Working together (parents, staff, and community) we will prepare our students to be productive citizens and to meet the challenges of our increasingly complex and changing society.
