Palmyra-Rivanna Lions Club
About us:
A non-profit organization, the Palmyra-Rivanna Lions Club is part of the International Association of Lions Clubs, the world's largest service association. The Rivanna Lions Club was Chartered in 1998.
Through our annual golf tournament,"White Cane Days", on going broom sales, etc., the Rivanna Lions raise funds to provide support and donations: for Leader Dog School for the blind, Sight and Hearing Screening Unit used by the Lions of our district, Diabetes research, Virginia Lions Hearing Foundation, Old Dominion Eye Bank, Fluvanna County Food Bank , Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic, Lake Monticello Fire and Rescue and other worthy causes as voted by the membership.
No money received from the public goes toward any of the administrative or social costs of the club. These are borne by the club members themselves through dues and assessments.
