About Us :

Newport is a K-6 school with an enrollment of approximately 350 students. We are part of a large suburban district (7th largest in the state of Minnesota) with 14 elementary schools, 4 junior highs, 2 high schools, an alternative learning center and over 16,500 students. We are located in the Southeast corner of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan area. Our mascot is the eagle. We are also the oldest school in the district with a history dating back to the early 1900's.
