Mission

The mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
[A disciple is one who is learning to know and follow Jesus, and one who is being shaped to be more like him. A disciple daily entrusts his or her life to God through Jesus Christ. We haven't yet arrived, but we walk with Jesus, our guide, eternal Savior, Lord, and friend.]

Vision

The vision of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church is to provide our surrounding area with a friendly and caring church that builds up the body of Christ and ministers to the needs of the community by sharing the Word of God through visitation, teaching, service, and fellowship. Our life together is centered in Jesus Christ. We provide meaningful worship services, both traditional and appropriately innovative, that honor God as well as uplift and challenge people. Our church offers stability and continuity within a changing world; everyone is treated with respect and love. As a church and as individuals, we take the responsibility to develop and use our spiritual gifts in quality ways to bring glory to God and his kingdom.
