Our mission is to have a great commitment to the great commission and to the great commandment, so that we will be a church that is greatly used by a great God.

The First Baptist Church of Social Circle is a body of born again, baptized believers in Jesus Christ joined together in a local self - governing fellowship to exalt the Savior, edify the saints, and evangelize the lost. The following principles are the basis for our Faith and Ministry.

The Holy Bible is God's infallible, inspired, unchanging and final revelation of Himself to man through the person of Jesus Christ.

There is one and only one Holy Supreme Triune God, and He reveals Himself to mankind as God the Father, the Father of all creation, as God the Son, Jesus Christ the Redeemer of mankind; and as God the Holy Spirit, the abiding person in each believer's life.

Men and women, living souls created by God in His image for eternal fellowship, are separated from God through sinful disobedience.

Salvation is God's gift of grace offered for the eternal redemption of mankind's soul from condemnation through the blood of Jesus Christ and can be received by anyone who will personally place their faith in Him as Savior and Lord.

Baptism by immersion is an act of obedience following the believer's public profession of faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes God's redemptive work and its effect upon the life of the believer.

The Lord's Supper is a right and responsibility accorded to all Christians as an act of obedience performed in memory of Jesus Christ's victorious death and in anticipation of His second coming.

The Lord's Day, Sunday, is to be a day dedicated to worship and spiritual devotion commemorating the resurrection of Christ from the dead.

We believe in the pre-tribulation rapture of the church and the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus Christ to rapture His church to culminate this age and establish His Kingdom.

Evangelism and missions are the privilege and duty of every Christian and every church of the Lord Jesus Christ in order to make disciples of all nations.

Discipleship is the responsibility of every Christian to become more like Jesus Christ through the leadership of the Holy Spirit by studying His word and observing His commands.

Stewardship is the privilege and duty of every Christian to serve God by cheerfully, regularly, systematically, proportionately, and liberally giving of one's talents, time, and material possessions for the advancement of the Redeemer's cause on earth.

Members of New Testament Baptist churches should cooperate with one another in carrying forward evangelic, educational, and benevolent ministries for the extension of Christ's kingdom as long as cooperation does not violate the conscience nor compromises loyalty to Christ in His Word as revealed in the New Testament.

Religious liberty is a free church in a free state exercising the right of free and unhindered access to God on the part of all people and the right to form and propagate opinions in the sphere of religion without interference by civil power.
