About

The East Aurora Union Free School District was founded in 1883, and is located in the Town of Aurora (population 14,000) in Erie County, twenty miles south of Buffalo, New York.  The District is one of twenty-seven schools who participate and share services within the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES.

The District is recognized for outstanding academic results, as well as student achievements in athletic and music competitions.  Students succeed in East Aurora through the efforts of caring parents, an outstanding and dedicated staff, and a supportive community.

The District enrolls approximately 1900 students, located in the following three schools:

Parkdale Elementary, a K-4 building with about 650 students;

Middle School, grades 5-8 with about 550 students; and

High School, with grades 9-12, offers a comprehensive educational program for about 700 students.

Seven members serve on our Board of Education.
