Mission:

Our primary task as children of God is to make Jesus Christ known to all, by our words as well as our deeds. The Church, of which we are a part, does not exist for its own sake, but for the people of the world.

The Cornerstone family’s mission is to reach out in love to our community, to relate to God, to be strengthened for service, to go and spread His love with others. We are a circle of God’s love.

We all come from different walks of life, bringing with us life experiences to share. Our differences are a blessing, allowing us to search in order to understand our purpose in life as members of Christ’s holy church. Romans 12:5 says it best: . . . “so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.”

The power of prayer, the kinship of spirits and the desire to improve our walk with God bring us together as Christians. Our faith in Christ allows us to study, grow, and learn as followers. Hand in hand with Him, we will nurture and embrace our world.

About Us:

Cornerstone United Methodist Church has served the northwest suburban area of Houston for over 25 years. Its many ministries and programs reaffirm the proper direction of our mission. As we grow, we are committed to remaining a warm, caring church where spiritual needs are met and lives can be intertwined to serve the world in the name of God.

Beliefs:

We believe in God the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our teacher, example and Redeemer, the Savior of the world.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, God present with us for guidance, for comfort and for strength.

We believe in the forgiveness of sins, in the life of love and prayer, and in grace equal to every need.

We believe in the Word of God contained in the Old and New Testaments as the sufficient rule both of faith and of practice.

We believe in the church, those who are united in the living Lord for the purpose of worship and service.

We believe in the final triumph of righteousness and in the life everlasting.
