The mission of the County Committee is to promote and establish Democratic principles and programs in the County, the State of New York, and the United States, and to provide the best possible government for the people of the County, the State of New York, and the United States.

The Columbia County Democratic Committee works to inspire and encourage leadership of the Democratic Party in Columbia County; to recruit the greatest number of Democrats to participate in the affairs of the Democratic Party in Columbia County; to ensure the continuing success of the Democratic Party in Columbia County, New York State and the United States; and to provide an orderly and democratic way to carry on the business of the party.
