Okemah is a city with a mission, goals and a plan for getting where we want to go. We are proud to claim the distinction of being an Oklahoma Century Community. We are one of the most progressive, interesting, well adapted, broadminded, foresighted communities in Oklahoma. Okemah is the center of retail trade in Okfuskee County. Area residents receive a varied blend of goods and services from both nationally recognized chain stores and locally owned specialty shops and retail establishments. We have a new high school, industrial park, water and sewage facility, and vo-tech school.
