The Avon Recreation Center is a spacious multi-use facility with over 40,000 square feet of fun! Within its doors lies a variety of activities which will exceed you and your family’s fitness and leisure needs. Whether you want to join one of our many award-winning yoga classes, swim laps in our five-lane lap pool, or simply relax and daydream while floating along the lazy river, the Avon Recreation Center and its staff can surely accommodate your needs.

15,000 square foot aquatics facility including a 5-lane lap pool, lazy river, zero-depth entry kids pool, 140-foot water slide, aquaclimb climbing wall, diving well, hot tub, dry sauna, and steam room.

Aerobics studio featuring a cushioned hardwood floor and professional sound system. 

State-of-the-art cardio equipment including TechnoGym treadmills and elliptical trainers, Precor AMT, Precor upright and recumbent bikes, Stair Master Step Mills, Jacobs Ladder and Free Motion Incline Trainers, all featuring a personal viewing station with flat screen monitor with cable TV.

Weights and strength room including cutting-edge Paramount strength equipment and Iron Grip urethane dumbbells (15-100 lbs).

A new 600 square foot yoga studio

Standard Hours

Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Pool Closes at 8:00 p.m.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Pool Closes at 8:00 p.m.

Sunday 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Pool features open at 10:00 a.m. Mon-Sat and 12:00 p.m. Sun.

Reduced Hours and Closure Dates

Thanksgiving Day: Closed

Christmas Eve: 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Christmas Day: Closed

New Years Eve: 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

New Years Day: 10:00 a.m.. to 9:00 p.m
