Abundant Life Community Church

625A Sims Industrial Boulevard
678-319-9700

Future Goals:

Feasibility studies are now being conducted to assess our options to purchase our current facility and adjacent properties.

Plans are also underway to establish and implement the Abundant Learning Academy for ages 1 - Pre-K in early 2007.

Following this, we are seeking corporate donors and faith based grants to create the Abundant Life Transition Center that will house up to 20 homeless families with dependent children.

Our vision here is to take people from homelessness to wholeness over a 24 month period so they can then make room for another needy family. This center will likely be implemented in late 2008 or early 2009.

Lastly, the Abundant Empowerment Zone will be a place to house several small businesses for entrepreneurs who have the business models for success without the capital to implement. It will operate as a for-profit organization and will be implemented some time in 2010.

History:

In September 1999, Pastor André Blythe was enjoying a very successful career as Senior Vice President and Chief Service Officer for a $17B company. While his career was going great, Pastor Blythe felt incomplete in his ministry.

On a 10th wedding anniversary cruise with his wife of over 19 years, Leslie, God revealed that Pastor Blythe would become a Senior Pastor. Pastor and Leslie Blythe committed this vision to constant prayer and sought guidance from their Pastor and mentors.

After many other successful and unsuccessful corporate endeavors, Pastor Blythe yielded to God's plan for him on September 11, 2001 (Pastor's birthday). Being more persuaded than ever, Pastor Blythe gave his resignation notice on November 29, 2001 and left the comfort of the corporate world on January 25, 2002.

After considering a call from Destiny Baptist Church in Martinsburg, WVA, Pastor Blythe incorporated Abundant Life Community Church on March 11, 2002.

ALCC held its first organizational meeting and Bible Study on April 24, 2002 with 8 people in attendance. Bible study was held at the Hilton Garden Inn (Windward Parkway) on Wednesdays at 7pm.

The first Worship Service was held at the United Artists Theater (North Point Parkway) on Sunday, June 16, 2002 (Father's Day) with three committed families. God grew us to 18 families before we moved to Crabapple First Baptist Church where we worshiped for 2 years and grew to 36 families.

Abundant Life Community Church moved into our current facility on December 31, 2004.
