The band Paradox will perform at Artisans at the Dahmen Barn, Doors open at 6:15pm with food, beer and wine available for purchase Tickets available at the Door only, Paradox is a five-piece cover band from Moscow, Idaho/Pullman, Washington formed in Paradox is a five-piece band from the Moscow-Pullman area who were formed in 2014 and regularly perform throughout the region. In addition to originals, they perform covers of a wide variety of music (rock, pop, country, folk) from the 1950s up to the present.

The calling cards for Paradox are its three different lead singers (all with different styles) and their strong harmonies, which create a varied sound that doesn’t fit neatly into a single box. No matter what genre of music you like, audiences will find Paradox’s diverse shows bring out crowd pleasers everyone can enjoy. As their name would suggest, the band brings together an unusual mix of musicians to create its unique sound. From a classically trained chorale singer, Jill Freuden (lead vocals, guitar, banjo, ukulele) to a veteran of country western bands, Ray Wallace (lead vocals, lead guitar, ukulele, mandolin, coronet). Added to this mixture are a ‘pair of docs’, in WSU’s Tom Preston (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and U of I’s Chris McIntosh (vocals, bass), and Tim Gregory (drums). As a result, the musical influences on this band range from the Beatles, Eagles, and Stones, through Johnny Cash, Chris Stapleton, and Carrie Underwood, to Coldplay and Train, with some Mendelssohn and Bach thrown in for good measure. But the paradox for this band is that this mix of ingredients work for Paradox.
