Lombardo Doubles Down on Endorsing Election Deniers, Cuts Campaign Ad

Joe Lombardo continues to double down on his support of MAGA election deniers. His affiliated PAC, Better Nevada, paid for election denier Carrie Buck’s campaign ad that aired last week. Lombardo even appeared in the campaign ad saying, “we need Carrie’s expertise and determination” after Buck falsely said that “1,500 dead people voted in 2020”. Lombardo, who is willing to do and say anything for political gain, continues to support Donald Trump and MAGA extremists by endorsing election deniers and turning a blind eye to Trump’s criminal indictments after saying last year that he could not.

A new report showed that Joe Lombardo has endorsed multiple election deniers for elected office. Buck isn’t the only election denier Lombardo endorsed running for elected office. In the state legislature, Lombardo also endorsed Ken Gray, who said at a campaign rally in 2022, to a crowd of Trump supporters, “I do believe the election was stolen;” and Jill Dickman, who complained of “voter fraud” in a December 2020 Facebook post as Trump was trying to steal the election. In the Senate race, Lombardo is backing MAGA extremist Sam Brown, who has a long history of supporting election conspiracy theories and downplaying the violent events of January 6.

Last legislative session, Lombardo vetoed SB133, a bill that would have established felony criminal penalties for fake electors who attempt to steal Nevada’s electoral votes, as six now-indicted Trump supporters did in 2020.

“Joe Lombardo and his ‘longtime friend’, indicted fake elector Michael McDonald, are in lockstep with Donald Trump, Sam Brown, and MAGA extremists on their unfounded denial of the 2020 election,” said Nevada State Democratic Party spokesperson Tai Sims. “Lombardo will do and say anything for political gain including aligning himself with far-right extremists who spread dangerous lies and conspiracies about the 2020 election. Joe Lombardo is cutting ads and effectively paying for election deniers’ campaigns, selling Nevadans to the highest bidder in service to Donald Trump.”
