RICHMOND – The Democratic Party of Virginia is excited to announce Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear as a featured speaker at the 2024 Blue Commonwealth Gala.

Governor Beshear was elected in 2019 and reelected in 2023. Since taking offices, he’s been a champion for voting rights, healthcare reform, education, and reproductive rights.

DPVA Chairwoman Susan Swecker shared the following statement:

Nobody understands better than Andy on how to win tough elections in the South, as one of only two statewide elected Democrats in a historically red state.
