Great Pollinator Census

For All Ages

The Great Georgia Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia where Georgians count the insects that land on a chosen pollinator plant for 15 minutes and put the insects into one of eight categories (carpenter bee, bumble bee, honey bee, small bee, wasp, fly, butterfly/moth, or other insect). The project is designed for any Georgian to participate in and make a difference for pollinator conservation! Drop by the front desk for a tally form, then find your favorite flower and count!

Visit with Master Gardeners in the Secret Garden to complete the census and enjoy the Pollinator Story Stroll.

Visit the Poetry Garden to pick a favorite pollinating plant to complete the census. Forsyth Master Gardeners will be on hand to help and explain the census.
