From: Coeur d'Alene Public Library

Coeur d'Alene Public Library has partnered with the Community Action Partnership to run a Library Food Drive. For the month of September, the Library is accepting non-perishable food donations and hygienic items to help feed and care for those in our community experiencing poverty and food insecurity. For an added bonus, each time a visitor brings in a donation, they receive a raffle ticket for a library prize basket. Upon hearing about the Food Drive, the Coeur d'Alene City's Celebrations Committee decided to get all other City Departments in on the project, each department is collecting goods to add to the collection. JD Smithson, the Library's Communications Coordinator, says, "we work with other city departments throughout the year, such as our upcoming pumpkin giveaway via the Wastewater Department, and I can't wait to see how much we'll be able to give to the Community Action Partnership because of this collaboration."

Patrons who need accommodation to participate in library programs or services are asked to contact the staff prior to the activity by calling 208-769-2315.
