The City of Beloit Parks and Recreation Division is holding its annual Winterfest celebration Jan. The weekend will be packed full of family fun. There will be plenty of outdoor and indoor activities for everyone, including those who embrace all that winter has to offer and those who dream of living in a much warmer climate.

10-11:15 am: Bingo at Grinnell Hall Senior Center

7-9pm: Open Skate at Edwards Ice Arena
Join us for a fun evening of open skate!
Cost: Youth 17 and under: $4.50 resident/$5 nonresident; Adult: $5 resident/$6 nonresident; Skate rentals: $3.

January 28, 2023

9am-Noon: Make & Take Crafts at Beloit Winter Farmers' Market
Stop by the Downtown Beloit Association building. During the Farmers' Market, children can make four crafts to take home.
Cost: Free

11am-2pm: Sled Dog Demonstration at Leeson Park
Join us for a unique and educational event. Visit with a dog sled team of dogs and their musher from Free Spirit Siberian Rescue. Learn about the sport of dog sledding and watch various demonstrations.
Cost: Free

2-4pm: Open Skate at Edwards Ice Arena
Join us for a fun afternoon of open skate!
Cost: Youth 17 and under: $4.50 resident/$5 non-resident; Adult: $5 resident/$6 nonresident; Skate rentals: $3

2:30pm-4:30pm: Winter Wonderland Obstacle Course at Beloit Public Library
Enjoy games and cozy up with free hot chocolate from our hot chocolate bar!
Cost: Free

1pm - Euchre Tournament at Krueger-Haskell Golf Course Clubhouse
Pre-Registration Required;
Call 608-364-2890 by Jan. 23
Are you a Euchre-playing wizard? Our annual tournament is back! Coach's Bar and Grill will be open for food and drinks. No carry in food or drinks will be allowed.
Cost: $5 Cash Entry Fee at Check In

3-6pm: Poopsie's Polar Party at ABC Supply Stadium
Tour the stadium, check out the indoor batting practice area, shop in the Beak Boutique, meet Poopsie and make Sky Carp crafts!
Cost: Free

Ongoing Weekend Activities
Fat tire biking; new 2.5 mile Deerfield mountain bike trail (entrance at Sarah Lane and Deerfield Drive). Fat bikes with at least 3.8 inch wide tires and helmets required.

Hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing;

January 29, 2023

11am-1pm: Sleigh Ride, Bonfire and S'mores at Big Hill Park
What says winter better than a sleigh ride through the woods? Come on out to Big Hill for a chance to ride on a horse-drawn sleigh through Big Hill Park. Welty Environmental Center will be hosting the bonfire and s'mores.
Cost: Free

12:30-2:30pm: Open Swim at Ironworks YMCA
Splash and play in the YMCA pool with the whole family. All children ages 17 & under must be accompanied by an adult. All children ages 6 and under must have an adult in the water with them at all times.
Cost: $3/Person; $10/Family of 4

2-4pm: Open Skate at Edwards Ice Arena
Join us for a fun afternoon of open skate!

Pickleball Tournament at Beloit Memorial High School
Join us for an adult doubles round-robin tournament with a different partner each round. Medals will be given for first and second place in each division. Registration deadline is January 23.

2pm: Kids Glow Boards Paint & Hot Cocoa Sip at Hammer & Stain
Please join us for a glowtastic afternoon of painting a personalized snow-themed plank that will GLOW when you are finished! Kids will get creative with a variety of different paint colors while creating a masterpiece on a 6x16 wood plank. Recommended for ages 7+ to work independently, but all ages welcome with the help of a parent. Hot cocoa will also be provided!
