42 North Brewing Company will host one of the region's most unique beer festivals with its annual Barrel Jam.

The festival celebrates the art of barrel-aging beers with beer samplings, live music, and winter sports activities around the brewery's "campus".

Over a dozen breweries and cideries will join 42 North and feature their barrel-crafted offerings for festival goers to taste in their complimentary glasses.

This year's line includes Brewery Ardennes, Prison City, EBC, Wild East, Meier's Creek, Eli Fish Brewing Company, K2 Brothers Brewing, 1911, Clarksburg Cider,Jack's Abby, Springdale, and Community Beer Works.

Other popular features of the event include a Rail Jam ski/snowboard competition hosted by Holiday Valley with a ramp and rail set up in the alley behind the brewery. The event featured a DJ in the beer garden, followed by the rock-blues sounds of Ithaca-based Soul Benders hitting the stage inside the brewery at 5 pm.

The event runs from 2 pm until 5 pm. A limited number of VIP tickets will also be sold that offer festival attendees an additional hour of tasting.
