Poughkeepsie, NY - Arts Mid-Hudson welcomes two new board members beginning their first three year term in 2024.

Malia K. Du Mont brings a distinguished record of leadership and service to Arts Mid-Hudson. Currently serving as the Chief of Staff and Vice President for Strategy and Policy at Bard College, Du Mont's educational background in Chinese from Bard College and her Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School reflect her commitment to academic excellence and global perspectives. As an Army Reserve officer and Afghanistan veteran, Du Mont's dedication to serving her country extends to her roles as the chair of the NY-18 Veterans and Military Families Advisory Board for Congressman Pat Ryan and her service on various advisory boards, including the American University of Afghanistan and the World Affairs Council Mid-Hudson Valley. Additionally, Du Mont's passion for music shines through her involvement as a longtime choral singer and her volunteer work as a pianist at her church, highlighting her multifaceted contributions to the arts and community.

Caitlinn Mahar-Daniels, a Hudson Valley native, brings a wealth of experience in the arts and photography to Arts Mid-Hudson. A SUNY New Paltz alumna, Mahar-Daniels majored in Fine Art Photography with a minor in Art History, paving the way for a successful career in capturing the essence of the Hudson Valley through her lens. As the founder of "Caitlinn Mahar-Daniels," she has established herself as a prominent figure in the local and international photography scene, specializing in weddings and embracing the human form with an artistic touch. Beyond her professional endeavors, Mahar-Daniels is an avid hiker, motorcyclist, and traveler, embodying the adventurous spirit of the Hudson Valley.

The new board members were elected at the 2024 Annual Meeting, in accordance with the Arts Mid-Hudson By-Laws. In addition to the election of new board members, Arts Mid-Hudson presented their 2023 Annual Report which can be viewed at https://www.artsmidhudson.org/annual-reports

Arts Mid-Hudson takes pride in ensuring that the makeup of its Board of Directors embodies the leadership and vision needed to continue building arts and culture throughout Mid- Hudson Valley.
