"No Advice Giving"
When we heard about the Women’s Center of Huntington’s “No Advice Giving” policy, we knew they were on to something. No wonder they’ve been thriving for over twenty five years. A spirited group dedicated to bringing women of all ages together, the Women’s Center is a nurturing bastion of sister support Oprah would applaud. You can find the center’s updated weekly calendar on Americantowns, where you can register for everything from “Miss Brigit’s Academy for Wise Women” to “Financial Planning for Women Only”. It’s nice to know that groups like the Women’s Center of Huntington are using Americantowns to get the word out. It’s a strategy all local organizations should use. Ooops, was that advice? Oh well. Old habits die hard. Check out the Women’s Center of Huntington here.
Has Americantowns helped your club or organization get the word out? We’d love to hear about it and feature you on our blog! Just tell us about it!
Jim: You have a rich site, but I am confused about the blog. How can new blogs/articles be posted by those in the community? I was hoping to see more interaction between Carlsbad residents!

Roberta,
Thanks for the post. We are planning to launch a blog feature for each community (and each community group) later this year - right now, you can post your news, articles, press releases and opinions about issues effecting Carlsbad right in the "Local News" area on the town homepage, where others in the community can add their own comments as well.
